Welcome, I’m Layla a birth & postnatal Doula.
I walk alongside women & families on the big, transformative journey of bringing life into the world. My approach is rooted in ‘mothering the mother’ creating a safe & deeply nurturing space, where together we explore all aspects of pregnancy, birth & the 4th trimester. Your intuition & well-being are at the center of our time together, I take the time to truly understand you & honor your wishes.
My aim as your Doula is to support you in meeting your baby in the most loving and authentic way possible, so that you take away proud & happy memories of bringing your baby earth-side, & step into motherhood feeling proud, capable and celebrated!
A bit about me…
Yikes it’s hard to summarise how this journey started… Motherhood cracked me open in so many ways that I was not prepared for, I was met with a depth of vulnerability & loneliness I had never experienced. Yet, it also enabled me to uncover strength, humanity & love like never before.
My experiences & innate desire to care for, nurture & illuminate women’s power could not have lead me down any other path than becoming a Doula. I believe that bringing a baby into the world & becoming a mother, is a rite of passage. My commitment to you, is to make sure you feel heard, supported & nurtured throughout our time together.
Other than my love for continued education & knowledge on all things pregnancy, birth & babies - I also enjoy;
Cooking/Baking & sharing my food with family & friends
Music is huge in our house, I love all sorts of genres - dancing with my three children happens daily in our home.
Sea swims (on fair weather days!), reading, slow summer days with my little family, coffee & cardamom buns all bring me heaps of joy.
